Its founder, Mr. Ian Ellis, a highly respected Engineer in the Power Electronics Industry, has designed all their products and has been responsible for the continuous Research and Development.
Thytec first manufactured Uninterruptible Power Supplies in the 1980s using Ferroresonant Transformer technology. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology was successfully introduced into the range of products in the early 90’s followed a few years later by the implementation of Microprocessor Control for the Thytec UPS.
Thytec manufactures in Australia a variety of specialise power equipment from 1kVA to 200kVA in various voltage and frequency systems for export and the local market.
Coupled with the strength and experience of over 40 years in the UPS market, Thytec is an industry leader in the supply of a range of Power Protection Equipment.
Continued R & D have produced a range of Inverters from 3kVA to 200kVA, which offers redundancy for extremely sensitive applications.
Thytec also manufactures Battery Chargers, Frequency Converters, DC to DC Converters, Power Rectifiers, Emergency Lighting Systems, Line Conditioners and can supply a larger range of Batteries along with Battery Monitoring Systems.
